Notifiable (occupational) diseases

Reporting to the GGD

Certain infectious diseases must be reported to the GGD. The GGD traces the source of the infection and checks whether the patient's contacts are at risk of infection. The GGD can then take measures to protect contacts and prevent the spread of the disease. You can find out which diseases are notifiable on the RIVM website.

Reporting as an occupational disease

If there are indications that your illness was caused by your work, the company doctor will report this illness as an occupational disease to the Dutch Center for Occupational Diseases (NCvB). The purpose of the NCvB registration is to promote the quality of prevention, (early) diagnosis, treatment, and guidance for work-related conditions.
