Implementation by employers and employees

The government provides general regulations for safe and healthy working conditions in the Working Conditions Act and the Working Conditions Decree. Employers and employees are free to determine how they comply with these regulations and to record this in a health and safety catalog. For the umcs, the employers' organization (UMCNL) and the employees' organizations have jointly drawn up such a health and safety catalog containing agreements on some fifteen health and safety topics. The Dutch Labor Inspectorate assesses these agreements.
